Living in San Antonio Is sure wonderful, there is always something to do! Our city has so many amenities including different types of parks located through out the city.
Here are some of the City Parks Located in San Antonio TX:
Brooks Park – The park has a 4 acre lake and many different types of fish. Fish feeding is allowed so remember to bring your bread for the big ones! There are also different trails that you can hike with views of the lake where lots of turtles and ducks call home. The Park includes 2 playgrounds, a half court basketball pavilion, picnic tables, BBQ grills and restrooms. It’s an all around great family place.
Fox Park Trailhead – Fox Park is a nice small park that includes a playground and picnic tables. The trail held starts behind the park and ends at Hulen Park, it’s about 3 miles long with medium-light traffic. They also have 2 trails for runners that are 1 mile in length that loop around the park.
Camargo Park – This park is mainly known for it’s dog park, but there is also a playground with plenty of shade and picnic tables. There are also 2 little trails through out the park that you can hike or run on.
Arnold Park – This is a nice small park that has a playground, picnic tables and BBQ grills. There are 2 little trails held within the park where you can hike or run on, also there’s plenty of shade for us San Antonians to enjoy!
Coliseum Oaks Park – This park is known to host the Holiday Lighting Ceremony, a must see! It has 2 play structures and plenty of shade. There are also restrooms located inside the parking lot.
South Side Lions Park Pavillion 1 – This park has a nice pavilion with restrooms located nearby. The play ground includes 2 play structures and plenty of shade. There are also 2 trails held within the park where you can hike or run on, also there’s plenty of shade for us San Antonians to enjoy!
South Side Lions Park Pavillion 2 – Another beautiful park with a nice sized pavilion and restrooms nearby. It includes a small playground, basketball court and picnic tables as well.
Tom Slick Community Park – This park has a brand new pavilion that can be rented. It includes a play structure, restrooms and plenty of shade! There’s also another playground in this area for the kids to have fun on!
In addition, San Antonio’s parks also include:
San Pedro Springs – This park has 2 hiking trails with beautiful scenic views of the park and downtown San Antonio. It includes a playground, picnic tables and grills. The trail is about 1.8 miles long!
Hermann Park – This is another great place to hike in San Antonio! There are 5 different trails that range from light traffic to medium/light traffic that you can enjoy while inside the park. The park includes a play area for children, walking paths, pavilions, restrooms and more.
